You do not need a separate video wallpaper app or a file manager. To change it later, apply another wallpaper from the app or pick a different one in your phone’s wallpaper settings.

Phone wallpapers are 1080 × 2400, a 9:20 frame that matches the tall displays on current Android phones; on a screen with a slightly different ratio Android trims a few pixels at the edges, and you can adjust the position before applying. Videos ship with a 1080 × 1920 rendition too, and ScreenLux picks it on phones that decode 1080p most smoothly. Tablets and foldables get the large-screen catalog automatically, with stills up to 2208 × 2688.

The catalog is the same on both platforms, so a design you like on Android is also on iPhone and iPad. What differs is how motion is delivered: Android gets a live wallpaper service that loops video on the Home Screen, while iPhone gets Live Photos that animate on the Lock Screen. ScreenLux+ is bought through the store on each platform, and Apple and Google purchases do not transfer between the two, though each restores on its own store account.
